North India Vs South India : 5 Points

Born and brought up in Uttar Pradesh , I spent my first 22 years of my life in north India. But this IT industry job gave me the chance to live in south India (Must say southest part of INDIA :-):-) ) and I am living here in south since last 1 year & 3 months.
Having a experience of 1 year & 3 months in IT industry and in South India, I can surely jott down some point of differences between NORTH and SOUTH.

1.    Where can you shop the banana’s in terms of kilograms?? It’s here it’s here in south. In north we buy in terms of dozens but here as kilograms. I still cannot understand why is this difference :-(:-(

2.  Second thing I must say about haircut : In south the worst haircut shop will charge minimum Rs. 50 for haircut but in north if u r planning to save money u can get it for even Rs. 15. I guess soon all barbers from north will shift to south , leaving north without a single barber. Ha ha ha

3.   Yaaro one thing I must tell you…people here in south are crazyyyyy , infact I must say mad about filmy Superstars. They treat them as if they are GOD. You can not say anything bad about the superstar otherwise they will fight with you.

But in north I am sure everyone criticizes and abuse their favourite stars also sometime in their life.

4.   For foodiessss : The main dishes of south in breakfast lunch dinner is DOSA IDLI VADA with SAMBHAR and CHUTNEY. But in north no one can live without yummy Stuffed parathas (Aloo paratha..Paneer paratha..Gobi paratha….etc etc …types are countless :-):-):-) )

Though every one knows this point but still I have to mention it because we cannot ignore this point , if we are mentioning the differences between north and south.

5. The last one and the most important difference is regarding the GIRLSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.  ;-) ;-)

Guys from north India please note the girls here in south are too reserved……toooooo conservative . As north Indian girls , they wil never ask you go for late night parties or for overnight journey to a trip.

Everyone here supports  this monopoly. Even the building security guard here doesn’t allow any unknown boy go in a flat where bachelor’s girls r living (Even if those girls have only invited you ) :-(:-(:-(  This situation was equivalent as if I was a villan and that bloody guard was SALMAN KHAN.

The only similarity I found  between north and south is that ‘Nariyal Paani’ here also cost  Rs. 15-20 and in north also u will get for Rs. 20. Though every house here in Kerala is having atleast two coconut tree. I don’t know why they produce in such a large quantity if they cannot give it for cheap.

  5. no rickshaws, only auto.. and they are very expensive...
sitting in an auto sometimes seems like sitting in a roller coaster...
and standing at the door of a bus seems like standing in a train... too fast driving and aggression...

and you missed the most important point - the greenery of kerala.. such greenery is not usually found in our northern part...

  8. 22 years of North Indian experience is not at all equal to 1.5 years of experince in South India dude. :) :)
Moreover, South India is not only covered with Chennai but also Andhra Pradesh (Hyderabad, Visakhaptanam) and Bengaluru.
Here, in AP or Karnataka, there are many places where bananas sell as dozens but not in KGs and Coconuts from Konaseema in AP are just @ Rs. 10 :) :)

    1. You got it wrong dude..I didn't said about Chennai..I have my 3 yrs of south india experience in Kochi and keeping that in mind only I wrote. But from your comment I believe you are a Tamilian and you took it on your heart. Chill yaar..just a series of observations. Nothing else :D

  9. Idli, Vada, Puri, Dosa are only breakfast varieties but you compare with parathas (that include all north indian breakfasts, lunch, dinner).
As you prepare more varieties with Wheat flour or Maida,
South Indians prepare many more varieties with rice :) :)

  10. I have visited Varanasi, Allahabad in UP.
Though they are big cities, roads are worst and streets are not at all clean
People start their day chewing pan paraaks, early in the morning and make roads as dirty as possible. (even during train journeys)
We can see buses very rare. I Think they mostly use railways :)
I did not find more difference between rickshaw and auto charges.
Temples are small though they are famous
Inspite of these, they are holy places naa...
Temples give pleasant and good spirtual experience especially divine river Maa Ganga :) :)

    1. Buses are there man , the thing is that you went to one holy divine place , though the city is big but not at all developed. About your pan thing i totally agree. Even north indians don't like it but eveyone can't be stopped. All types of people live and its their democratic country 'The India'- corrupted India !!

  12. Dost you have given true points so I like it, but you have shown only points favoring North. The Superstar point is 100% correct but I am different I disregard film and cricket stars but regard sports man and other talented persons who are without a job & money.

    1. I do appreciate that you accepted reality somewhere unlike few of my above blog viewers as that is truth. As far as favouring part you have mentioned, even i agree for that. But for sure somewhere i adore south india for beauty, you can feel my favourism for south india in my other blog posts. please do read when free.

Every place has pros and cons. We all should accept truth rather that arguing. North india too has many uncountable ones :D
