Stupids & Stupidity – The Politicians & their Politics !!

This would be my first attempt to write about stupidity & stupids - The Politics and their savior Politicians. In my view politicians are bastards and people having political views are most manipulative and are very dangerous. I know I am not eligible to criticize about them and I have no interest too but still writing about the same to embark my presence in this Indian Democratic reign.

I was never able to trust any politician in last 25 years of my life and will never be able to, until and unless someone is not sparking my nerves & not bringing revolution in my mind. Talking about recent poll in Delhi, not sure if Arvind kejriwal (AAP) or Narendra Modi (BJP) really has how much to give to country capital. But from the beginning of the media polls it was clear that Congress is out of picture now. Here I go with public atleast, Congress are the ones who never works for people. They for sure work for themselves and to be in power.

I am still not sure if I wanted AAP to be in power. But I must say Modi made me feel that he can give something to India by his speech and Arvind looks promising with his revolutionary ideas and promises. But the Delhi Election result proves that Indians wanted BJP(32 wins) more then AAP(28 wins). Though the fight was close and BJP missed by 3 seats to make his BJP government, leaving all result in dilemma for making Delhi government. Eventhough AAP always told they are not going to collaborate with BJP or congress, but finally with the help of congress MLA’s they are making their government. Just hope that congress contribution here is not affecting Arvind’s dream in future.

Quoting  dialogue of Batman series of movie “More power bring more responsibilities’ , this thing Arvind will have to understand as today he took oath for Delhi CM. Its time to work on the promises of him which made him sit on the CM chair. Not sure how much he will succeed , but if he is able to complete even 50-60 % of what he said , it will surely bring revolution in the Delhi history.

Hope that this AAP politicians are not changing like other politicians in future as they are in power now.

Hope that someone now can change India.

Hope this AAP’ians stop fighting within themselves and think about their promises.

Hope that Arvind is able to control corruption atleast in Delhi.

Hope that Arvind is able to control the power of Indian rupee.

Hope Hope Hope….

Yes Hope is only thing we can do now. Message for believers of politicians : Join my category of not believing these stupids if your trust is broken this time. Keep your fingers crossed guys !!!

Mesmerizing Kerala !!

Being in Kerala from last 3 years 15 days , I never wrote about Kerala and its beauty. Though it was always there inside me , even though I always admired the beauty. During the recent journey  from Tamil Nadu (Madurai) back to Kerala from one of my friend marriage reception, I realized the difference between Kerala and other states. I realized that what I missed in my blog. I realized how fool I was not to pen down my glorious past 3 years of experience of my life in Kerala till now. Every time I come back to Kerala  I’m reminded of why it’s known as ‘God’s own country’, this is the place of simple joys!

Kerala has many faces and names. Some call it as the ‘Land of Coconuts’ and some “Land of Spices” while some call it ‘Land of Elephants’!! It is indeed incredible with its unique geographic features. It’s serenity, chains of green hills and prominent coconut trees, which just soothes the soul. Each one of us will be truly inspired by natural beauty of Kerala. I think, no better setting may be found anywhere in this world for sea, mountains, beach, backwaters, lakes, rivers, waterfalls --- Nature bestowed with open arms to Kerala !!
          Thangaloor village of Kerala

The day I landed in Kochi after completing my 3 months training in State Capital (Trivandrum), Kochi  was like any other busy city of our country, though in a richly landscape. Kochi has one of the best natural harbours in the world. It commands the sea-lanes of the Arabian Sea and is close enough to the Indian Ocean to make it a major port.

During my stay of 3 years in Kerala , I have roamed some marvelous places which are worth for each penny. Below are the places with my experience :

Munnar – One of the main tourist detination of Kerala , famous for Hill slopes and Tea  plantations.

Athirapally waterfalls - Been there 3 times , and first time interest was because of bollywood movie Ravan was shooted here with Aishwarya :D Athirapally is the land of rivers and forests and great waterfalls! The destination houses the largest waterfall in Kerala, the Athirapally waterfal. Its a scenic place and an amazing sight to behold. The place where maximum part of the movie "RAVAN" was shooted.

Paniyeli Poru - A milky waterfall that would allure you even from a distance; beautiful rivulets with lucid streams of water that would wash away the worries and weariness of everyday life. Awesome weather.... 100 km bike trip.. continous drizzle nd sudden rains.. Beautifull place..Miraculous scenery.... Trekking... & Kerala special Toddy :-P Really enjoyed the place 'Paniyeli Poru' !.! :-) :-D

Vagamon - Also known as the 'Scotland of Asia'. Still untouched by commercialisation, the sleepy town with its scenic valleys, beautiful green meadows, enchanting pine forests, mists, fogs, tea estates, waterfalls with the overall greenery is really striking. The landscape is mostly hilly bald with green meadows. Vagamon is also home to a large variety of flowers and orchids.

Alleppey ( Allappuzha)- Mararikulam & Alleppey Beaches - Alappuzha is an important tourist destination in India. The Backwaters of Alappuzha are the most popular tourist attraction in Kerala.

Valparai –Even though this place is in Tamil Nadu but the journey from Kerala to TN made the trip. It was time for biggie and It was really biggie....345 km Bike ride ,2 days trip, Overnight stay in chilled hills, From Kerala to Tamil Nadu , 110 km bike ride in alone jungle where noone was there to accompany you !!!! It was awesome..Once in life time trip. :)

Poovar and Kovalam , Varkala Beaches (Trivandrum)
Proximity to Trivandrum, Poovar is truly a window into paradise. The sound of waves and whistling of birds punctuate the tranquillity. ...
where estuaries , backwater and sea are in kissing position..!!!!

Ernakulam -

Fort Kochi - Fort Kochi in Ernakulam district of Kerala is the first European township in India. Chinese fishing nets along the Vasco Da Gama Square, Santa Cruz Basilica and many more.

Marine Drive - Marine Drive is a picturesque promenade in Kochi, Kerala, India. It is built facing the backwaters, and is a popular hangout for the local populace. Ironic to its name, no vehicles are allowed on the walkway.

Mattancherry- Mattancherry is a part of Ernakulam District in Kerala, India. It is a tourist destination. It is surrounded by the backwaters of Arabian Sea.Mattancherry was the first trade hub of the present district.

Dutch Palace - The Mattancherry Palace is a Portuguese palace popularly known as the Dutch Palace.

Willington Island - Willingdon Island was claimed from the Lake of Kochi, filling in dredged soil around a previously existing, but tiny, natural island. Willingdon Island is significant as the home for the Port of Kochi, as well as the Kochi Naval Base (the Southern Naval Command) of the Indian Navy and Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, a constituent unit of Indian Council of Agricultural Research.

But then nothing is perfect. Kerala has its own share of negatives and drawbacks. That’s part of the parcel! :D I must say mallu’s don’t have any taste of food and clothing. They have their own culture and traditions which is above all , but I can bet no one from any part of India will like their food , except them.

I was not at all interested in seeing ladies of Kerala dressed in those electrifying gold-bordered white traditional cottons ( the ones we get to see in Kerala pamphlets ), And as expected modernity has swept the Kerala, like it has all over India. Salwar-kameej, Jeans makes such a effect  on the traditional landscapes.

Neverthoughless ,Finally I can proudly say that I got the chance to live in Kerala. The immense beauty and charisma of Kerala has given me clean and sound soul to say about. I can never forget the Onam celebration , all time rainy season, and the greenery. Thanks Kerala !!

IT Sucks !! No , Seriously – It Does.

I’ve spent  around  three  years in Computers software & IT industry , where my experience lacked job satisfaction and only marginally advanced my career.  It’s been long known and understood that IT industry is one of the most employing industries and the youth has been running behind it like never before.

The job primarily being sitting-on-a-chair sorts gives way to many problem to an IT engineer. There are so many reasons why working for the 'IT Man' sucks. Badly managed companies have high turnover, low morale, and employees who hate their jobs.

Salaries Geared towards so called uniform linear negligible rate :

IT industry pays average and sucks even better   !!!

Annual Reviews - What a fucking joke.  Seriously, annual reviews is one of the most demoralizing tools that Corporate IT has in its plate. Even though your  group was outstanding that year (Each and every person) , you all will be required by the system to have High, medium and low rated people... WHAT THE HELL???? MNC's IT company revenue is increasing each quarter but then why the salary increment rate not increasing. Seems that was written with blood on an affidavit when company started functioning.

Why would anyone stay around for the ridiculous 3-7% increase in salary when they can now jump to a new company and get a 30-60% increase in salary?

Working conditions :

I agree that IT industry has one of the best working culture depending on the company and the brand but here is the twist.

IT industry provides AC,chair, resources, recreation facilities. There is no field job to be done. Though we are not doing any Bhag-Milkha–Bhag type of rigorous physical work but  what about the mental pressure an IT employee bears being in such a political arena. Yes, I told political arena, because it’s political battle only inside the industry. Always the beginner is crushed in this battle which kills you part by part, because you can’t help yourself.

Are we just working for the condition only, what about our satisfaction to work for our company with loyalty. Why this higher management never try to understand.

Instead of hiring more workforce and increasing the employees and the so called bench strength, why they don’t concentrate on our their present employee. Will they not give the same output if their demands are fulfilled.

Career growth & Onsite Oppurtunity :

A person (Obviously always Leads) going to onsite is never gonna  come back. If for some reason he comes back then, that ‘s just for a month trip. His VISA will be renewed and he will be sent again as if he became inglorious bastard , an American idiot who can't work in India anymore. Never expect that a fresher will be given opportunity on priority basis. It’s always your higher level will eat the fruit which you grow.

It HAS happened, it will continue TO happen, and it will never STOP happening, as this has affected every side of the IT industry.

Quality of Workforce – Hiring and Retaining Of Unqualified IT Employees :

You may find that the talent around you is watered down. The trend is to cut costs. It doesn’t matter the quality of talent. They will be polished to work what is expected from them, after all that is what IT industry is doing at cheap cost. What can they get more cheaper than this. Finally , you end up with a situation where there are 10 unnecessary people  supporting  2 person who is actually working.

Real talent who is never recognized for his work will leave for a better job . The others will hope to keep their paying jobs as long as possible, hoping no one realizes they don't have a clue as to what they are doing.  These people, of course, will eventually become IT Managers!!!  What you end up with is a corporation that encourages its worst employees to stay and its best employees to leave , making the remained shits as the icecream toppings. Not only do the worst employees stay, they get promoted.

How demoralizing is it when your IT manager makes all the mistakes that you learned not to do in your profession some years ago? This person is managing your IT Shop????

Finally I will conclude saying to IT employees, that get yourself a job satisfaction , be it any way. If you are able to survive in this political world with your tricks then well and good. You are the real winner. Or else your challenge is to plot an exit strategy and execute on it methodically, but without losing your spirit. Hope I will also sail across this ocean one day with success.

Cowards - Are You Really Coward !!!

Dunno how to pen down about this philosophical topic. But some situations in life make you feel if you are really coward. I am not telling that it happens everytime with all but it does happen sometimes with few. Many moments of the life you are made to believe that you are coward or you are behaving as a coward.

It’s not always that you really are coward but people perceive that you are and they start hating you for this character of yours.

Some situations comes where you are helpless or you are trying to avoid something for something good. But guys this is bad world , people won’t understand that. They will blame you for your character as a coward and I am damn sure you can not convince them. Because a image once formed in someone’s mind can’t be altered easily.

Wiki says : A coward is a person who lacks courage in facing danger, difficulty, opposition, pain, etc. But it doesn’t explains about the situation which makes people to be perceived as coward. Hey wiki clear on this part with your definition as it affects people life too.

Mahatma Gandhi correctly said :

A coward is incapable of exhibiting love; it is the prerogative of the brave.

Dolores Ibarruri once said It is better to be the widow of a hero than the wife of a coward.. Not sure that it is correct for Indians too , but yeah somewhere it represents a modern thinking female. Afterall they want life partner who can protect them, with whom she feels protected. A coward can’t be trusted in this case.

I can proudly say that I am not “Darpok”, I am not “Kayar” (Hindi synonyms of Coward). I am not responsible if this world (Henceforth  will refer as ‘You’) saw me as a coward anytime. It’s their perception , which is fucking shit. Like everyone, I do have self respect and I will not take your blame. Hate me if you can. I will love you till the end. The day will come when your perception will change and you will never hurt my pride and prestige. But don’t go that much far that you are not able to come back.

Be Proud to be a Dog Lover !!!

The day I got a cute puppy at my home, I really had no idea what I was getting into. It was a surprise from my dad. I was astonished seeing that puppy in my home. The reason was that I always wanted a dog at my home and my dad stunned me by bringing him as a surprise. Thanks to dad !!!

“A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself.”
Josh Billings

I began with the premise that I wanted a experience as dog lover. A person can learn a lot from a dog, even a loony one like mine . Tommy (Tom) taught me about living each day with joy , about seizing the moment and following your heart. He taught me to appreciate the simple things-a walk in the bush, a marathon chase ,waking up from nap due to his barking and licking. And as he grew old and achy, he taught me about optimism in the face of unfavourable situations. He made me smile when I fought with someone, he only brought a laugh when I got angry to my parents. Mostly, he taught me about friendship and selflessness and, above all else, loyalty.

You must agree with the below quote by  Mark Twain :

“If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and man.”

Though he troubles  my brother Ankur, Mom ,Dad and me many times but still he is the 3rd son of my family. Beloved of everyone.

  • The way he gets behind my mom and dad to go out and roam with them early morning and evening is worth watching.
  •  You can’t stop yourself doing googly voogly voosk (Learned from Ponds Adevtisement :P) to him when  he scratch you to ask food. I enjoy each and every moment talking to him.
  •  I enjoy shouting on him and the way he obeys me.
  • I love the way he jump on anyone when I approach to hit anyone.
  • I love when he silently comes  to my bed in night leaving his own bed.
  •  I love teasing him and his Gurrrrrr…. Gurrrr  reaction.
  •  I love when he expects my support being  afraid of any other animal.
  • I love chasing him with threathening shout when he makes me run behind him.

Man is the Reasoning Animal. Such is the claim. I think it is open to dispute. Indeed, he is the Unreasoning Animal... In truth, man is incurably foolish. Simple things which other animals easily learn, he is incapable of learning. And I must say dogs are the one of the fastest learners  among animals.

To wind up I will say-  be proud to be a dog lover and be cheerfull !!!!!   Cheers Tom !!!!
